Job description

Are you a Dispatching or Service Scheduler/Coordinator in the service industry and seeking an opportunity to grow your skillsets in a supportive team environment? Our client in Wilmington, DE is one of the largest HVAC companies on the east coast and are seeking a Dispatcher/Service Coordinator to join their growing team. 

As a Service Coordinator/Dispatcher, you’ll work alongside a solid team of professionals to coordinate and schedule residential HVAC services and manage schedules for a dedicated crew of HVAC technicians. 

The ideal candidate for the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator position will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in scheduling and/or dispatching within a related service industry with the ability to work weekends if needed. 

Job Details for the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator:
  • Pay Rate: $21-23/hr (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Choice of Thursday-Monday OR Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-9pm
  • Contract-to-Hire (NOT TEMP) 
  • Full benefits & 401k after a probationary period
 
Job Responsibilities & Description for the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator:
  1. Mid-shift personnel review work order cues and begin the day with reaching out to customers to reschedule appointments that were not able to be accomplished by techs that day
  2. Provided a set list of techs/services to manage and watches schedules closely to ensure techs aren’t going over scheduled time frames based on the type of job
  3. Reaches out to techs to review job progress when timeframe goals are not hit and assists in either rescheduling work orders or reaching out to customers to inform them if techs are running behind
  4. Reviews work orders to ensure a full understanding of the scope, scheduling the proper technicians as required and ensuring they have the right tools/materials required for the scheduled job
  5. Handles a high volume of inbound/outbound calls, scheduling and rescheduling appointments as required
  6. End of shift entails reviewing scheduled services for the following day and reaching out to customers to review the scheduled appointment details including arrival times and other details as needed
 
Job Requirements for the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator:
  1. Must have 2-3 years of experience in a dispatching/scheduling setting within the residential services industry 
  2. Works well in a fast-paced environment with a high level of reliability and attention to detail
  3. Team player able to take direction and work well in a small team environment 
  4. Excellent problem-solving and logistical skills
  5. Able to stay calm in stressful situations while maintaining excellent customer service skills
