Job description

Join our Patient-Centered Internal Medicine Practice

Hillcrest Internal Medicine is seeking a friendly and organized Medical Assistant with front office to join our growing outpatient practice located in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outpatient environment with a schedule supportive of work-life balance.

What You'll Do

  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, and collecting patient histories
  • Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the providers
  • Updating and filing patients' medical records
  • Relaying instructions to patients/families
  • Administering injections and vaccinations
  • Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
  • Restocking exam/procedure rooms
  • Prescription refills
  • Providing backup for front desk reception as needed (answering phones, scheduling, insurance verification, calculating co-pays, check in/out, referral coordination).ย 

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • A Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant (front and back office for internal or family medicine) highly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Reception experience is highly preferred

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • No evenings, weekends, or holidays
