What does a receiving manager do?

Receiving managers are in charge of overseeing shipments and goods delivered to the warehouse. In this role, you review incoming shipments on the daily log, accept loads from suppliers, and inspect received products to make sure they meet quality standards. You also supervise the proper storage of products and order boxes, tape, and other supplies required in the warehouse. Receiving managers are typically responsible for keeping accurate logs in the company's computer system for shipments that arrive. Other job duties include inspecting equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and follow regulatory standards for safety protocols.
