Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 based on experience.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive self-starter, experienced Shipping and Receiving Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of products while maintaining compliance with food safety standards, SQF (Safe Quality Food), and OSHA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain warehouse operations business plans to include all programs, P&L, and internal and external customer requirements.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and schedule shipments to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure accurate and timely loading and unloading of products.
  • Follow and enforce programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with SQF requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to guarantee compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing to receive and distribute products/materials at the facility in a productive and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports on shipping and receiving activities and develop presentations to help management understand the logistic perspective.
  • Identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize transportation efficiency.
  • Manage the route and scheduling of shipments to minimize delays and costs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving supervisory role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, SQF, and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
