Job description

Are you interested in taking your love of tractors and machinery to the next level? Looking to join an award winning team? Due to organizational growth, we are seeking qualified applicants to join our team!
BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Supervise and assist in all shift responsibilities, this may include shipping, receiving, cycle counting and bin maintenance. These duties contribute to the shipping success and productivity level of the wholegoods department.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines:
  • Responsible for securing the building perimeter twice a day. Locking doors, turning off lights, etc. Setting up the building alarm system when leaving, making certain all security zones are clear and building is locked.
  • Make certain all daily parts orders are completely picked, packed, and loaded for shipment. When shipping needs to be completed assign employees to designated areas to complete the work load. Confirming all shipping transfer orders in SAP. Run daily shipping reports through the clippership program and FedEx standalone system. Check the picking status program to ensure all late day emergency orders are completed. Delegate replenishment of shipping supplies to the work stations, also clean the shipping area. This shipping procedure is the key to supplying our dealers.
  • Assign employees to receive in and replenish multiple parts venders. Expedite all receiving inquiries from other depots and corporate office via lotus notes. Confirming all daily receiving transfer orders in SAP. Check daily bin to bin transfers in SAP. Class daily moves and new products in the material master in SAP. Run daily class reports for storage sections to ensure parts are in the correct designated areas after put away process. File daily paperwork according to vendor, separate all claims for senior lead person. Run weekly spot checks to ensure work is adequate and reaches safety regulations. When work load is great, assist in the receiving and replenishment process. The receiving process is critical, this ensures that the product is available for ordering.
  • CYCLE COUNTING-Create inventory documents to be counted in SAP. Assign employees to designated areas to inventory cycle counting documents. Completely check all inventory discrepancies and generate recounts in SAP. Once documents are complete, run all variance reports and unblock designated bins in SAP. File all daily inventory data. Keep all inventory production data in Excel spreadsheets. Inventory counts are critical to the success of our shipping percentage and customer service.
  • 30 DAY RETURNS-Record all packages returned by the dealers by sender and tracking number. Thoroughly check returned items for damage and information provided by the dealer, put returned items away in their designated location. Enter returned parts into our stock manually using SAP. All damaged claims are filed with FedEx via telephone or online. Excel spreadsheets are processed showing all 30 day dealer returns with the reason for the return, this data is sent monthly to the corporate office for review. All daily paperwork is filed alphabetical by dealer and month. The dealer receives credit for the returned items and these items are entered into our stock.
  • PIERCE, TERMINATIONS-Paperwork provided by dealer is checked for part locations. Parts are thoroughly checked and put away according to their designated area. Final paperwork is given to Operations Supervisor for credit and the entering process. The dealers receive credit for returned items and these items are entered into our stock.
  • BIN MAINTNANCE-Monthly reports are ran in SAP to find part class changes. Assign multiple reports to employees to bin to bin transfer. Check and change storage type and section with all bin to bin transfers in SAP. This procedure helps promote speed and efficiency in the shipping process.
  • TRAINING-Teach and assist all new temporary hires and full time employees. This includes multiple uses of SAP system, barcode scanners, all forms of equipment operation, and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years in a high-volume distribution environment required.
  • Manage and meet multiple tasks and deadline skills.
  • The ability to use a computer to enter and/or retrieve multiple amounts of information.
  • Some experience operating in a SAP system preferred.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely operate and train others on all forms of equipment in the warehouse.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):
  • Computer, RF barcode scanners, Intermec 3400 printers, Zebra printers, Electric fork lifts, Propane fork lifts, Stock picker, Reach truck, Pallet jack, Shrink wrap machine, Cardboard compactor, Trash compactor
  • Office equipment including copier, fax, phone, printer - No service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Warehouse environment. The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
