Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Shift: 2nd shift with some weekends required
Targeted salary range: $18 - 19/hr
Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient shipping and receiving processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supporting overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all orders are entered into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) prior to receipt on the shipping dock
- Receive and accurately enter incoming inventory into WMS, including weight and dimension details
- Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies within WMS
- Audit shipping and receiving data against logs at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs, including original signed Bills of Lading (BOL)
- Prepare and finalize BOL documentation, including engine cards and loose sheets, prior to shipment pickup
- Ensure proper sign-out and documentation of all BOLs
- Update LEIS/MESA systems to reflect shipment readiness and completion (RTS status)
- Prioritize work orders based on RTS dates to support timely shipments
- Communicate inventory updates to internal stakeholders using WMS
- Maintain fax and email logs related to shipment releases
- Train loaders on WMS processes, including receiving, shipping, and verification procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative, clerical, or office role required
- Prior experience in warehousing or transportation is preferred
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
