Job description

The Operations Logistics Coordinator is responsible for internal and external customer transportation communications, as well as, processes discrepancies while providing on-site support to the warehouse and transportation department.

 Responsibilities

  • Plan and track shipments according to customer requirements.
  • Communicate transportation delays and disruptions in a timely manner.
  • Process discrepancy claims with carriers.
  • Support sales and customers service on any transportation needs including; tracking and rate quotes.
  • Provide on-site support for warehouse and discrepancy departments.
  • Make transportation decisions to align with budget targets.
  • Set up and schedule shipments in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Cross train to support Outbound and Inbound coordinators during absences.

Required Education/Experience

  •  High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 year(s) experience in clerical work
  • 1-2 year(s) previous logistics experience
  • Previous experience with Microsoft office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service driven
  • Ability to work with little supervision on day to day tasks
