Job Description

Join Rockwell Automation's highly automated Indianapolis Distribution Center and play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of inbound materials across our supply chain. As an Inbound Coordinator, you will partner with internal teams, on-site 3PL providers, and external suppliers to resolve material and purchase order discrepancies, drive process improvements, track performance metrics, and support operational excellence. This opportunity is ideal for a collaborative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple functions, and is passionate about improving processes and delivering strong customer service.

You will work onsite in Whitestown, IN and report to the Fulfillment Manager.

Hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 5 PM to 1 AM.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Support and work closely with on-site 3PL and Rockwell team members, internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Manage metric-tracking for assigned areas, lead issue resolution and support process improvement efforts.
  • Daily communication with internal and external suppliers to obtain resolutions for material dispositions and PO issues in a timely manner.
  • Working with other Rockwell functional areas to escalate issues and identify the need or correction action.
  • Work collaboratively with and drive improvements between Rockwell Automation and on-site 3PL.
  • Help prioritize the work of the on-site 3PL as needed to achieve business objectives.
  • Collect and prepare required 3PL and vendor data for use in reports and analysis.
  • Manage and track issues with on-site 3PL, third parties and internal ROK functions to identify areas of improvement, track root causes and propose actions for prevention in the future to Leadership.
  • Work with global DCs and plants, sourcing and transportation to create two-way communication and action plans to improve performance and resolve issues.
  • Support on the floor or cross-functionally as business requires.
  • Support off-hours or weekends as business requires.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, Materials, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of purchasing and purchase order processes within a warehouse, distribution, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Experience supporting on-the-job training and onboarding activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support process improvements in a distribution environment.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party partners to resolve issues and achieve operational objectives.
  • Experience managing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
