Job description

ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking a Real Property Specialist at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The Real Property Specialist provides a critical role toward maintenance and use of real property financial and physical information. ย Uses and interprets financial and civil construction data establish and maintain physical records and virtual information systems. ย Follows policies for documenting and maintaining records of building and civil infrastructure use by DoD and non-DoD commercial entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:ย 

  • ย Gather commercial real estate information for development of new, or amendment of existing building and or land leases, licenses, permits, and easements. Uses provided templates and ensures accuracy and alignment of Air and Space Force regulatory instructions, playbooks and policies.
  • Provide compliance inspections on cycled basis to ensure real estate grantees comply with terms of agreements.
  • Conduct field work to verify building and civil infrastructure systems to ensure existence and completeness of physical and electronic records.
  • Develop and maintain existing production charts and graphs for completed and scheduled activities. Provide informational presentations to leadership and government customers.ย 
  • Assist engineers and technicians with providing building condition assessments and recording of data in government databases. Provide periodic reconciliation of condition and building characteristic information with other government databases. ย 
  • Reads and interprets civil maps and master plans to assign asset identification numbers and physical street addresses.
  • Works closely with facility space utilization specialists and reconciles customer facility assignments. Reconciles DoD agency assignment and financial appropriations annually. Records changes in facility space utilization affecting use and categorization of Air and Space Force owned real property per DoD directives and instruction.
  • May be asked to support hurricane damage assessment and recovery processes.

Educational/Training Requirements:ย 

  • An associate degree in civil engineering technology or an associate degree in business. Commercial/industrial construction background, or related field plus two (2) to four (4) yearsโ€™ experience in real property accounting, record-keeping is desirable.ย  Equivalent education/experience is applicable.

Skill Requirements/Qualifications: ย 

  • A background in Air Force Civil Engineering and/or formal education and working knowledge of federal real property accounting and programming policy set by Air Force Instruction is desirable.ย 
  • A working knowledge of MS Office software is required and a working knowledge of the Air Forceโ€™s NexGen system is desirable.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain a security clearance.ย  US Citizenship is required for obtaining a clearance.
  • State of Florida driverโ€™s license is required.

Work Environment:ย 

  • ย The Real Property and Programming Specialist will be placed in a standard administrative environment. Computers and associated office equipment will be available as required.ย 
  • Physical location and workstation space may comply with standards established the USAF facility space requirements and may require working close to others. Use of audio equipment may be used without interference to others. Use of headphones or similar equipment may be used if devices do not impair or restrict effectiveness of fire or other safety alarms or notices.

Physical Demands:

  • ย Field work will be required to investigate suspected discrepancies associated with real property records
  • Use of stairs is required to access the work environment.
