What is a real estate paralegal?

Real estate paralegals are legal professionals who assist attorneys with matters related to real estate transactions, such as buying, selling, leasing, and financing properties. They prepare and review legal documents, conduct title searches, coordinate closings, and handle correspondence with clients and other parties. Their work ensures that real estate transactions are completed accurately and comply with relevant laws and regulations. Real estate paralegals play a crucial role in supporting lawyers and helping clients navigate complex property deals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a real estate paralegal?

To thrive as a Real Estate Paralegal, you need a solid understanding of real estate law, property transactions, and title review, typically supported by a paralegal certificate or relevant legal experience. Familiarity with legal research databases, document management software, and e-filing systems is vital.
