Job description

JOB SUMMARY
 

Radisson Blu Fargo is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Banquet Prep Cook to support our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for events of all sizes. This role works closely with the Banquet Manager and kitchen staff to prepare high-quality meals served in our event and banquet spaces.  If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in your work, this may be just the job for you!
 

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items for banquets, meetings, and special events.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Prepare ingredients including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices in to deliver a quality product.
  • Maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized..
  • Support setup and breakdown of banquet food stations as needed.
  • Communicate with banquet chef and banquet manager as well as culinary team to ensure timely service.

QUALIFICATIONSQUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, especially in high-volume or banquet settings
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
  • Able to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Able to walk or stand for a majority of shift.
