Job Title: Account Executive - Dayton Radio
Position Overview
We're looking for talented, enthusiastic, motivated, and goal-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced working environment. As an Account Executive, you will work closely with our clients as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their unique business goals and then help them achieve those goals. In this field-based role, you will collaborate with local sales managers and will have industry-leading tools and resources at your fingertips to create solutions that help clients reach their target audiences.
This role specializes in creating new and incremental radio and digital revenue. The primary job responsibility is to identify new prospects and present customized multi-platform advertising solutions focused on the customer's return on investment. The Account Executive is also responsible for retaining and growing their developed accounts through insight proposals, proof of performance, and maximizing all station assets.

You also need to have effective communication skills and the ability to cultivate client relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess sales opportunities and apply appropriate strategies and resources.
  • Prospect and solicit new business through cold calling and targeted outreach.
  • Consistently work target accounts and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Generate revenue through new account development and growth of existing accounts.
  • Develop advertising and marketing solutions that deliver measurable results for clients.
  • Conduct needs analyses and account reviews to uncover client objectives and essential requirements.
  • Create effective marketing plans and advertising schedules aligned with client goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling written and oral presentations to secure new or incremental business.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and communicate value to customers.
  • Match available station sponsorships with client needs and persuasively sell those opportunities.
  • Negotiate advertising rates effectively to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Provide proof of performance and results to upsell current customers.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure accurate account stewardship throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to provide timely and accurate traffic instructions, manage make goods, and support collections as needed.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as HubSpot to manage daily activity, build pipeline, track progress, and provide weekly projections and reporting.
  • Provide sales management with accurate forecasts, pending deal updates, and advertiser and prospect lists.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and client meetings as required.
  • Ensure superior client relations and manage accounts through the full sales cycle.
  • Obtain budgets, meet deadlines, and maintain organized account documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of new business development and prospecting experience in media sales or a related field.
  • Proven record of driving revenue growth through successful campaigns and client acquisition.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi task and perform in a high pressure, fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong marketing, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, grow, and upsell existing client accounts.
  • Experience collaborating with brand teams, ad operations, and finance to support client satisfaction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of three years of media sales, account management or buying experience.
  • Proven history of digital and radio sales success in a local media setting
