Position Summary: The Junior Racking Installer plays a vital role in our installation team, assisting in the assembly and installation of pallet racking and material handling equipment. This hands-on position requires working efficiently in a team environment to meet project goals while maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate is hardworking, coach-able, and eager to develop new skills in the material handling and construction industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise and promote proper safety practices at all times.
  • Assist in the installation and assembly of warehouse racking and storage systems.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding scheduling and team coordination.
  • Utilize a variety of tools properly and efficiently to optimize productivity.
  • Apply sound decision-making and problem-solving skills on the job.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve installation goals.
  • This role involves a high-volume workload with occasional shift changes and may require travel based on project locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) installation and/or construction is required.
  • Knowledge of warehousing, distribution, pallet rack design, and material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving history required.
  • Ability to properly operate and utilize a variety of tools and heavy equipment.
  • Safety training and/or equipment operation certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and on individual tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and be coached on new skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, climb, kneel, and lift up to or in excess of 50 lbs. regularly.
