Operations Manager

Program Summary:

Position is Contingent on Award of Contract.

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager serves as the Security Control Center (SCC) lead and is responsible for the overall management, monitoring, sustainment, and operational support of complex electronic security systems. This role provides leadership for SCC personnel, ensures compliance with contractual requirements and service level agreements (SLAs), and oversees system performance, repair activities, lifecycle management, and maintenance operations. The Operations Manager is accountable for maintaining system availability, operational readiness, and data integrity while serving as a key liaison with Government stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Security Control Center (SCC) lead, providing day-to-day leadership and management of SCC operations and personnel.
  • Manage all monitoring, operational support, and sustainment activities for electronic security systems supported by the SCC.
  • Oversee the execution, quality, and timely completion of all service level agreement (SLA) activities and system repair efforts.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are performed in accordance with contractual requirements, established procedures, and performance standards.
  • Monitor and track system availability, operability, reliability, and service performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present operational status updates, system performance data, and issue reports during monthly In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) and other Government meetings.
  • Identify systems and components approaching end-of-life (EOL), end-of-service (EOS), or requiring lifecycle replacement, and provide written notification to the Government.
  • Analyze recurring system and component failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions and long-term remediation strategies.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of all data maintained within the Maintenance Management System (MMS).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active Top-Secret Security Clearance (minimum requirement)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the management and sustainment of complex electronic security systems and five (5) years of experience in the general supervision and management of personnel or technical functions.

Work Location: On-site support.

Compensation: $$77,050 - $115,575. The salary range posted is for Washington, DC. The offered rate will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
