Job Title: Lead Quality Control (QC) Inspector - MUST BE BILINGUAL (Spanish/English)

Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Manager
Status: Full-Time

Position Summary

Under Quality Control management leadership, the Quality Control Lead/Inspector supports production by ensuring the facilityโ€™s QC is effectively implementing the QMS and product is made according to quality standards.

QC Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and measuring products to meet customer requirements. Inspectors use provided drawings and sales orders to approve or reject product while in process and when completed. Inspectors are responsible for following Quality system procedures when nonconformances are found.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ Quality Control experience required in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with threading.
  • Strong ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Understanding of IMT&E calibration.
  • Strong math ability including adding and subtract fractions and decimals, as well as understanding +/- tolerances.
  • Ability to document and communicate approval and rejection of product.
  • Ability to organize and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Bilingual with English/Spanish. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate concerning technical drawings and information.
  • Excellent attention to detail. Self-directed, independent, and highly motivated.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates team assignments and scheduling.
  • Monitors team performance and attendance.
  • Inspects products including threading, welded parts, and final assemblies to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Completes a variety of quality documentation.
  • Responsible for teamwork and cooperation between members from all departments.
  • Monitors the quality of processes and products with a focus on reduction in the overall Cost of Quality.
  • Assists with continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and monitoring trends in quality issues.
  • Communicates with Quality Team, Production Team, and customers.


Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in a variety of climate conditions.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
