Salary Range: $35-$40/ hour, with OT as needed

The Quality Control Technician Lead / Quality Lead Development role is a hands-on quality professional responsible for performing inspection, testing, documentation, and quality assurance activities to ensure products and materials meet established specifications and customer requirements. In addition to core quality control responsibilities, this position supports quality system initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, training activities, and departmental coordination.

This role is intended for individuals who demonstrate strong technical aptitude, leadership potential, and a commitment to quality excellence. The incumbent may be assigned increased responsibility, project leadership opportunities, and exposure to quality management functions as part of ongoing professional development. Advancement opportunities may be considered based on individual performance, demonstrated competencies, organizational needs, and available positions.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Control Operations
  • Perform critical dimension checks on incoming products and raw materials.
  • Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Complete, maintain, and archive inspection and quality records.
  • Control and monitor the flow of materials into and out of the Quality Control area.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to established procedures and inspection frequencies.
  • Enter and maintain inspection and quality data within SAP and other business systems.
  • Create and maintain Non-Conforming Material Reports (NMRs) and control disposition of rejected materials.
  • Perform capability studies and support statistical analysis of quality performance.
  • Assist Receiving with material identification and inspection activities as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Utilize calipers, metric tapes, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Evaluate products for color and visual quality requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment as authorized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Quality Systems and Leadership Development
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality processes consistent with company standards
  • Assist with monitoring quality metrics, identifying trends, and communicating findings to management.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining quality procedures, inspection instructions, and related documentation.
  • Serve as a quality resource for cross-functional teams, helping ensure consistent application of quality standards.
  • Participate in internal audits, compliance activities, and quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Lead or support special projects and process improvement efforts as assigned.
  • May assist with coordinating daily departmental priorities and workflow in the absence of Quality leadership.
  • Provide professional recommendations regarding quality-related decisions and process improvements.
QualificationsRequired
  • Associate Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum of three (5) years of quality control, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a crosfunctional setting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a changing environment
  • Availability to travel both nationally and internationally (up to 20%)
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Pay Range:

The Pay Range for this position is between $35-$40/hourly. The actual range will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
