About the Opportunity
The General Labourer will take part in a variety of greenhouse tasks focused on improving efficiency, yield, and product quality. Based in Chilliwack, BC, this role supports plant production and order fulfillment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
WhatYou'llDo
  • Assist with seeding (by hand or machine) and planting plugs or transplants
  • Prepare and handle plant cuttings for propagation
  • Perform production tasks while working with crops throughout the production process
  • Space, grade, sort, pinch, straighten, trim, weed, and move plants as required
  • Pick and prepare plants for orders, including loading carts, labeling, and sleeving
  • Monitor plants for quality concerns and report issues to the Greenhouse Supervisor
  • Support the cultivation and maintenance of potted plants to ensure high-quality standards
  • Assist with inventory control and product distribution
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize growing conditions and workflow efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company best practices
What You Bring
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Adaptable and self-directed with strong organizational abilities
  • Physically able to perform manual labour, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Detail-oriented and goal-focused with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions
  • Basic knowledge of plants is an asset but not required
  • Production experience, preferably in a greenhouse environment
