About the Position
Airgroup Dynamics is seeking an experienced, motivated Purchasing agent to lead our procurement operations. This individual will be responsible for sourcing products and services, managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, overseeing purchasing, and ensuring materials are procured on time, within budget, and in compliance with company quality and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the Purchasing Department.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, availability, certifications, traceability, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements to maximize cost savings.
  • Manage Purchase Orders (POs) from issuance through receipt.
  • Follow up on open orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Develop and maintain approved vendor relationships.
  • Resolve purchasing discrepancies involving pricing, invoices, documentation, and traceability.
  • Maintain accurate vendor, inventory, and costing information within company systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize excess inventory and stock shortages.
  • Coordinate with Production, Customer Service, Shipping, and Accounting to support customer delivery requirements.
  • Maintain purchasing documentation in accordance with FAA, AS9100, ISO, and company quality requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop purchasing staff while continuously improving department processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Aviation or aerospace purchasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Understanding of aircraft parts procurement, traceability, quality documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working within AS9100, ISO, or FAA-regulated environments is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
