Position Summary

The Procurement Analyst supports strategic sourcing and procurement activities across assigned product categories, including raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and finished goods. This role works closely with Procurement leadership to support sourcing initiatives, supplier management, market analysis, contract administration, and procurement projects that ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials supporting Badia's manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate brings procurement experience within a food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), ingredient, or related industry environment and possesses strong analytical, organizational, and supplier relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support procurement and category management activities for assigned commodities and product categories.
  • Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, RFQs, quote analysis, purchase recommendations, contract administration, and delivery follow-up.
  • Assist in developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Support procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives while managing daily procurement responsibilities.
  • Research, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to quality, service, delivery, and pricing.
  • Analyze commodity markets, pricing trends, and supply chain risks.
  • Prepare cost analyses, bid comparisons, supplier performance reports, and purchasing recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Quality Assurance, R amp;D, Planning, and Finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiencies, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data and documentation within ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or category management.
  • Experience purchasing raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, or finished goods.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food manufacturing, food ingredients, spice, seasoning, or CPG industries.
  • Experience with international sourcing and importing raw materials.
  • Knowledge of packaging procurement and inventory planning.
  • Familiarity with FDA, SQF, BRC, or similar food safety and quality standards.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Coupa, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
