Job description

The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Malvern, PA
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $22.16

What we're looking for
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of material handling, inventory replenishment experience is required
  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
  • Experience using inventory management systems such as Inventory Manager (IM) and SAP.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience working with various software systems.
  • Ability to manage and maintain stock levels in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in lab inventory management or related field is a plus

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
  • Visit assigned lab areas and identify necessary orders and record via Palm scanner. Replenish all lab areas with inventory as necessary.
  • Place orders in necessary computer systems (Inventory Manager (IM), SAP).
  • Assist in the set-up of new labs and stocking locations.
  • Receive, inspect, and put away orders from RDC and direct from supplier shipments.
  • Responsible for labeling, organizing, and keeping assigned labs and stockrooms clean. Monitor and update signage and labels as needed. Validate lab maps quarterly.
  • Review, maintain, and adjust inventory stocking levels according to demand increases and decreases. Meet monthly and/or quarterly with lab managers and/or lab contacts to review IM lab list.
  • Monitor Received Stock, UOM, and 90 Day No Move reports monthly. Report internal quarterly metrics to rep by department.
  • Review backorders daily.
  • Assist end users with sourcing products, expediting, and various other customer service needs. Utilize IM and SAP to source requests and needs.
  • Dispose of any trash, boxes, etc. that accumulate in connection with the POU inventory.
  • Work in conjunction with the Avantor sales team.
  • Respond to all emails and voicemails regarding all business questions promptly and professionally with a proper answer or direction.
  • Enter or delete products from the Inventory Manager system using the Change Control Form as needed.
