Job description

Penn Highlands Healthcare has been awarded on the Forbes list of Best-in-State Employers 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statistica Inc., the world leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
Responsible for receiving storage and inventory for all departmental supplies and food stuffs, ordering food and supplies based upon product specification as established by company ordering protocols and procedures, food/beverage distribution, along with maintaining sanitation in storage areas.
  • Receive & verify deliveries, reconcile discrepancies, inspect product quality and expiration dates, stock pantry areas while maintaining proper inventory levels using first-in, first- out rotation.
  • Restock pantry items (beverages, snacks, coffee supplies, condiments) and ensure proper handling and storage of perishable goods, including maintaining required refrigeration standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license and good driving record may be required in some cases where transporting supplies on behalf of the company is needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull inventory, often up to 50 pounds, and work in varied environments (e.g., walk-in freezers).
  • Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, or hospitality/food service preferred.
  • Proficiency and/or experience with inventory management or purchasing software.
