What jobs can I get with CIPs level 4?

A Certified Inventory Professional (CIP) Level 4 qualification can qualify you for roles such as inventory control specialist, procurement coordinator, or supply chain analyst. These positions often require skills in inventory management systems, data analysis, and process optimization, and may involve working in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments.

What are the 4 types of inventory control?

In inventory control, the four main types are perpetual, periodic, ABC analysis, and just-in-time (JIT). This is not a desk-only purchasing position. We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working with warehouse teams, operations leaders, vendors, and finance to ensure every branch has the right materials at the right time-without tying up unnecessary cash in inventory.
If you thrive on creating structure, improving processes, and leading teams in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As our Purchasing & Inventory Manager, you will:
  • Lead purchasing operations across multiple company locations
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Standardize purchasing practices and ensure company purchasing policies are followed
  • Manage inventory accuracy, stock levels, and material availability across all warehouses
  • Reduce stockouts, emergency purchases, excess inventory, and obsolete materials
  • Develop and oversee cycle count programs and physical inventory processes
  • Lead and coach Warehouse Managers across multiple locations
  • Establish warehouse standards for organization, receiving, staging, returns, and inventory control
  • Partner with Install Managers to ensure materials are ready for scheduled installations
  • Improve service truck inventory and replenishment processes
  • Analyze purchasing trends, inventory performance, and vendor spending
  • Develop reports and dashboards that support operational and financial decision-making
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures that improve consistency across all locations
  • Travel to company warehouse locations as needed to support operations and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in purchasing, inventory management, warehouse management, supply chain, or operations
  • Experience managing warehouse teams or employees across one or multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of purchasing controls, inventory management, and warehouse operations
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using spreadsheets, inventory systems, and reporting tools
  • Ability to build processes and improve operational efficiency in a growing company
  • Willingness to travel between company locations

Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC, construction, distribution, or home services industry experience
  • Multi-location inventory or warehouse management experience
  • Experience with ServiceTitan, NetSuite, or other inventory management software
  • Vendor negotiation experience
  • Experience supporting a rapidly growing organization
