Job description

Purpose:
Support the movement and communication of all current and aged inventory across the North American market (NAM). Help build proper inventory management processes and reporting for the adidas brand. Ensure relevant and accurate cost and volume reporting is developed and published for key stakeholders and leadership. Assist broader NAM Inventory Management team with key strategic efforts, workstreams and established monthly/quarterly delivery of communication materials to key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Work with various business partners to analyze, review and recommend actions to manage and optimize inventory across the NAM network.
  • Provide clear messaging and ensure understanding with business partners and leaders on our management processes and efforts.
  • Create cohesive reports and accurate data analysis to assist in overall business decisions.
  • Support business partners and leadership team with data reporting and analysis needs.
  • Collect and compile information from various departments for use in inventory management.
  • Provide recommendations and strategize new reporting to support the greater team.
  • Drive improvements/efficiencies in both inventory reporting/analysis and up/down stream processes, sales, and operations.
  • Process stock movement/transfer requests for internal and external business partners.
  • Support cohesion in process across US and CA regions in reporting and inventory management best practices.
  • Assist with managing weekly data on market inventory by stock category.
  • Collaborate cross functionally, leveraging a market level view to define insights and actions for planning partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to access data from a variety of database structures and put together comprehensive reporting for the team
  • High level understanding of the end-to-end demand/purchasing/planning process
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with data management systems/applications (Power Bi, Databricks, SQL)
  • Advanced Excel skills, and a thorough understanding of macros, pivot tables, lookup formulas, formatting, etc.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, resulting in the ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Able to make quick decisions off limited information
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task to complete objectives on a tight timeline
  • Industry-specific experience preferred
  • Inventory Management, Retail Planning or Financial Planning experience preferred

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):
  • University degree in Finance, Economics or Business or equivalent working experience
  • Inventory management, Planning, Sales or Supply Chain experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Familiarity with relevant industry systems/analytical software a plus
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience
