HiFyve is hiring a Purchasing Agent!

Salary: $64,000–$82,000 per year

Schedule: Days Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Friday 6:00 AM-12:00 PM

Location: St. Paul, MN

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support a growing manufacturing operation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to meet production needs while driving cost savings and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders from initiation through delivery and verification
  • Coordinate with production and planning teams to meet material requirements
  • Expedite orders and resolve supplier issues, returns, and discrepancies
  • Evaluate supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings
  • Monitor inventory levels and support JIT and inventory reduction initiatives
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply base
  • Track purchasing metrics and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience purchasing raw materials or production components strongly preferred
  • ERP system experience required (JobBOSS a plus)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • APICS certification or supply chain education is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday
