Job description

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist updates stock records and related information in Oracle to monitor the accuracy of inventory levels. Performs inventory transactions and manages daily cycle counting and monthly inventory reporting. Assists in customer complaint handling utilizing Netregulus software. Performs receiving and distribution tasks as needed.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll do as a Inventory Control Specialist
  • Schedule and coordinate complete daily cycle counts which includes the physical count tasks including: report preparation, monitoring physical counting, reconciliation, and data entry.
  • Ensure all daily inventory transactions are accurately and promptly entered into Oracle and maintain records.
  • Generate monthly expired lot report and supervise the physical movement of stock to correct locations and sub-inventory's and perform Oracle transactions and system reports.
  • Generate monthly cycle count report to include total items, pieces, dollars counted, and all adjustments.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to develop and/or recommend improvements in inventory procedures and work instructions.
  • Assists in shipping complaint handling utilizing Netregulus software. This includes input, research, and reporting to Manager.
  • Reviews, monitors, investigates, and reports on inventory that is in the On Hold and Review areas.
  • Works with Distribution, Purchasing, and Customer Service to provide assistance with inventory variances and shipping complaints.
  • Provides locator set up function in Oracle for incoming items that do not have a location assigned.
  • Process inspection receipts utilizing the AS400 system and performs sub-inventory transfers in Oracle.ving and distribution tasks as needed.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control/warehousing.
  • Must possess effective communication skills with all levels of the Distribution organization.
  • Knowledge of inventory transactions and record keeping.

Preferred:

  • Experience using Oracle is considered a plus.
  • Forklift and Order picker experience considered a plus.

Pay range for this opportunity is$19.52 -$25.26.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
