Job description

Rochester Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is Hiring a Full Time Unit Clerk!

Duties include, but not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling Doctors visits for Residents

  • Answering phones,faxing and accepting faxes from labs, offices and other medical facilities

  • Picking up and distributing mail from Unit, as well as, collecting documents for scanning

  • Updating room changes in our electronic medical record system

  • Creating admission and readmission packets

  • Notifying pharmacy of room/unit change

  • Creating or recreating wrist bands

  • Updating, filing and collating all unit documents

  • Updating resident discharge information

  • Assisting all Departments with projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma / 18 years old or older

  • Basic Computer skills.

  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise manner.

  • Demonstrates strong public relations and organizational skills.

  • Able to adapt to fast pace environment.

  • Some knowledge of medical service delivery systems

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical terminology

  • Experience providing exceptional customer service

  • Disciplined punctuality and a welcoming personality
