Job description

Tax Senior – (Hybrid Role)

Established CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior to join their growing team. Role is a strong fit for someone with several years of public accounting experience who wants increased responsibility, client exposure, and the opportunity to continue building technical depth without immediately stepping into a full manager role.

The firm works with a diverse client base including closely held businesses, individuals, and a strong amount of real estate-related entities. While prior exposure to real estate taxation is helpful, it is not required. The team is looking for someone who is solid technically in general tax work and comfortable learning new areas as needed.

This is a steady, relationship-focused environment rather than a high-volume compliance shop. The expectation is consistent, high-quality work, clear communication, and the ability to manage assigned engagements with appropriate independence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S)
  • Handling partnership returns and K-1 related work, including real estate entities
  • Communicating with clients to gather information and resolve open items
  • Supporting multi-state tax filings and related compliance work
  • Assisting managers and partners with planning and advisory engagements
  • Reviewing selected staff-level work as part of development and workload flow
  • Identifying basic tax planning opportunities during return preparation and review

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of public accounting or tax experience
  • Strong experience with individual and business tax returns
  • Exposure to partnerships or real estate structures is a plus
  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

What’s offered:

  • Hybrid work arrangement with flexibility
  • Health, dental, and retirement benefits
  • Paid time off and flexible scheduling outside of busy season
  • Stable firm environment with long-term client relationships
  • Clear path for growth into manager-level roles for those interested

This is a strong opportunity for a Tax Senior who wants a balanced mix of technical tax work, client interaction, and career growth in a stable, mid-sized firm environment without excessive pressure or burnout culture.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or reach out for more details.
