The Data Analyst will provide data analysis, reporting, and visualization support to the Statistics & Data Science team across post-market surveillance, manufacturing, R&D, and clinical data sources. The Data Analyst will accomplish this by developing efficient, repeatable analytical solutions by automating routine reports, maintaining dashboards, and improving data workflows in collaboration with statisticians and business stakeholders. Additionally, they will translate stakeholder needs into practical data deliverables, with guidance, while ensuring outputs are accurate, validated, documented, and aligned with internal procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Generate routine and ad hoc descriptive analyses, summaries, tables, graphs, and reports to support operational, quality, product, and clinical decision-making.

  • Develop, automate, and maintain recurring reports and analytical workflows using programming tools and reproducible code to improve efficiency, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Build, enhance, and maintain dashboards and other data visualization tools that enable stakeholders to monitor key metrics and trends.

  • Transform stakeholder questions into clear analytical requirements by clarifying objectives, defining deliverables, and confirming timelines, assumptions, and data needs.

  • Partner with statisticians and subject matter experts to determine when a request is appropriate for a data analyst solution versus when deeper methodological or statistical expertise is required.

  • Perform data extraction, data cleaning, data preparation, quality checks, and documentation activities to support reliable analyses and reporting.

  • Support validation and code review activities for analytical programs and reports in accordance with internal procedures, documentation practices, and quality expectations.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline existing reporting processes, standardize recurring deliverables, and implement practical process improvements that reduce manual effort.

  • Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective written, visual, and verbal summaries, and manage multiple requests/projects with appropriate organization and follow-through.

Minimum Requirements

  • 0-3 years of professional experience in a comparable role supporting data analytics, preferably within a medical device, pharmaceutical company, or CRO.

  • Bachelor's degree with excellent track record in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, business analytics or equivalent (master's preferable).

  • Strong programming skills in R or Python, with experience in both. Advantageous to be familiar with SQL, Power BI, SAS, VBA, JavaScript.

  • Understanding of mathematical and statistical principles.

  • Willingness and ability to develop knowledge of device functionality.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate cross-functionally with engineers and clinical or medical staff.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Pay Transparency

  • A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 plus discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location and will be awarded based on experience.
