Job description

About the Role
The Carpet Shoppe, Inc. (TCS), operating as ProSource Wholesale of Honolulu (PS) is seeking a proactive and results-driven individual to serve as Account Manager. Under the supervision of the Sales Manager the Account Manager is responsible for driving new ProSource Memberships, servicing Member Accounts, ensuring profitability of assigned accounts, and meeting sales and membership goals. This role requires proactive engagement with potential and existing Members, a strong understanding of ProSource products, and effective communication and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Membership Growth
• Develop and execute a plan to generate prospective members within an assigned marketing territory
• Actively prospect and network within the community to attract new Trade Professional Members
• Self-manage a daily client outreach program focused on generating referrals and repeat business. Consistent
participation is expected and contributes directly to sales success
• Analyze assigned territories and strategize to drive prospecting efforts
• Make showroom invitation calls and schedule visits with qualified prospects
• Use open-ended questions to assess prospects and present the value of ProSource Membership
• Conduct showroom tours for walk-ins and prospective Members
Member Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong, long-term business relationships with Members and their Clients
• Follow up to ensure satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and support new Member onboarding
• Provide ongoing service and support to Members, including in the absence of their assigned Account Manager
Product Knowledge & Sales Process
• Maintain strong knowledge of ProSource products and solutions to better support Members
• Participate in ongoing training: onboarding modules, workshops, product training, and industry publications
• Follow the proven 10-step selling system to guide Members through a consistent and effective sales process
• Participate in sales meetings, product knowledge (PK) sessions, and complete required online training through the
company’s C1 university and utilize ProSource Members Net as a resource
• Assist with product selection, provide education, and close sales
• Maintain and utilize CRM software (PALM) to document customer data, track interactions, and manage sales
activity
Operations & Communication
• Accurately input orders into the POS system and communicate ETAs or backorder updates
• Notify Members and Clients of order statuses and delays
• Persistently follow up through every step of the sales cycle to ensure satisfaction
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Sales Manager
Showroom Support & Events
• Actively participate in planning and executing showroom promotions and events
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and sample organization
• Collaborate with the team to reset displays and ensure an inviting, professional showroom experience

Desired Qualifications
Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required. One year of retail or wholesale sales experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
• 2+ years of sales or customer-facing experience, preferably with in-home consultations or project work
• Experience in flooring, home improvement, or construction estimating a plus
Skills & Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems, with the ability to quickly learn and use the RFMS (POS) system effectively
• Ability to write clear, professional communication and confidently present information to managers, clients,
customers, and the general public
• Competency in understanding and calculating figures, including discounts, and percentages.
• Capacity to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, including some holidays as needed
Location
This is an in-person position based on the island of Oahu (County of Honolulu), Hawaii. While we welcome applicants from
all locations, candidates must be available to work on-site in Oahu. This position may require travel offsite for events, meetings, and training.
Compensation and Benefits
This a full-time “at-will” position working at least 40 hours per week.
The salary range for this role is $48,000 – $100,000, which is based on market data and the organization’s compensation philosophy. Our offer will be within the range as required by certain state laws and individual salary offers will depend on and may vary with location, relevant education, knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer comprehensive employee benefits.
