CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen projects, including design, sales, and customer service. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, creating designs, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring successful project execution from concept to completion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Take personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of those around you.
    • Participate in safety huddles and utilize the Safety Observation System (SOS).
    • Promptly report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
    • Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and in designated
  • Generate sales through engagement with both contractors and retail consumers and actively pursue sales opportunities beyond the showroom environment.
  • Obtain and follow up on leads in a timely and professional manner.
  • Present and promote design services to contractors and general contractors, both on-site and off-site.
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and field measurements are precise.
  • Prepare Sales Agreements, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Project Specifications in accordance with Hancock Lumber guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent communication with contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Inspect completed projects to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards are met.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow strong business relationships with contractors and industry professionals.
  • Engage in continuous learning through trade journals, company-sponsored training, and industry events.
  • Provide expert consultation on kitchen design and product capabilities tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate and team-sell with other members of the design group to enhance customer experience and sales success.
  • Handle customer concerns and field service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and company goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Basic understanding of design principles and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Proven ability to sell products and services effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to accurately measure job sites and create functional, high-quality kitchen layouts.

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • College Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional design certifications such as: CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) or CBD (Certified Bath Designer) preferred, but not required.

REPETITIVE PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
