Proficiency with CAD software, 3D rendering tools, and industry-specific project management systems is typically required. Strong communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills help designers effectively understand client needs and deliver innovative solutions. They collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, then work with architects, contractors, and suppliers to translate those ideas into detailed plans and specifications. Designers frequently visit job sites and coordinate with installation teams to ensure the project meets NKBA standards and client expectations, which requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
