NPI In-Process Inspector

 

ProSource Industries specializes in the manufacturing of precision components for Wire Harnesses, Enclosure Assemblies and Electrical Control Panels for OEM'S. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction has positioned us as a leader in the industry.

 

The NPI In-Process Inspector is responsible for performing inspections and quality checks on Prototypes, Pilots, PPAPs, and other enclosures and components throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures that all products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulations. The NPI In-Process Inspector plays a key role in identifying defects, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining product integrity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process inspections of enclosures and related components.
  • Access and verify documentation such as Bill of Material, Traveler, Fabrication drawings, Physical Assembly drawings, and schematics.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures to verify dimensions.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in the quality management system.
  • Collaborate with NPI team members to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and follow all safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in quality or manufacturing preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and metal materials.
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required.
  • May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required based on production needs.
