Your role.

The members of the Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team serve as strategic partners in helping the firm develop, win, and retain business. Working in a fast-paced and creative environment, we write and design business proposals and presentations to support the firm's business development and pursuit of new opportunities. We are seeking a candidate with strong skills in persuasive communications, writing, sales, strategy, project management, and marketing. Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Proposal and pursuit strategy management - Lead the pursuit process, from start to finish, by developing sales strategies and writing persuasive messages based on information from research profiles, meetings with client service professionals, meetings with target companies' staff and management, and knowledge of the firm's offerings. Collaborate with pursuit teams and manage large teams of service providers and stakeholders. Create proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and other sales deliverables.

  • Project management - Serve as the central point of contact and lead project manager for assigned proposals while simultaneously managing multiple proposals and pursuit deliverables. Facilitate large teams of client service professionals, graphic design team resources, marketing professionals, and other pursuit resources to produce deliverables. Deliver a comprehensive response on time that best positions Plante Moran as the first-choice firm while maintaining compliance with RFP process and proposal directives. Simultaneously manage multiple pursuits, proposals, presentations, and pursuit deliverables.

  • Persuasive content creation- Developand writepersuasive messages based on information frompursuitresearch, customer personas/profiles,buyer journey/buyer group staging,meetings with client service professionals,communications withcustomer'sstaff and management,prior pursuit experiences,andstrongknowledge of the firm's offerings. Engageand collaborate withadditionalfirm resources as necessary to produce quality deliverablesbythe deadline

  • Finalist presentations- Leadandfacilitatethepursuit/RFP finalistpresentation preparationprocessto support the win strategy; if a multi-stage process, lead andfacilitateall stages untilselectionis made. Developtalking points andpresentationdeliverablesin collaboration with presenters. Effectively lead and coach internal"dry runs" prior to presentation date;provide constructive feedback to presenters;finalizepresentation materials.

The qualifications.

  • Minimum of 6+ years of increasing responsibility and demonstrable business writing experience, including the development of proposals in a professional services or corporate environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, English, Journalism, Communications, or other related subject area from an accredited college or university

  • Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint skills

  • Literacy with AI use in a professional business environment (CoPilot)

  • QorusDocs experience preferred, not required

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.
