Serve a leader supporting the management and strategy lifecycle on targeted captures including leveraging strategic government-wide acquisition contracts, multiple award, and sole source contracts. Identify and win executable business for Government clients through applying expertise across the business development life cycle, from opportunity qualification through strategic capture and proposal development to award. You will work to deliver innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments. This role can be based either out of Washington, DC or San Diego, CA.

What you'll do:

    • Strategic Planning & Execution:
      • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
      • Identify and target new market opportunities, including emerging trends, technologies, and potential clients.
    • Client & Partner Relations:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, defense contractors, and industry partners.
      • Lead negotiations and close high-value contracts and partnerships.
    • Market Analysis & Intelligence:
      • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
      • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.
      • Support alignment of customer gaps with internal IR&D investments
    • Sales & Revenue Growth:
      • Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding targets and objectives.
      • Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's presence in existing markets and penetrate new markets.
      • Document and maintain a pipeline of future business targets
    • Proposal Development:
      • Support the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for prospective clients and partners.
      • Ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and company capabilities.
    • Travel will be between 25-50%

Requirements

We are looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Minimum eight (8) years' experience leading capture of system development and production work and developing complex technical solutions for government and related industry stakeholders
    • Hands-on experience with DoW (DoD) acquisition and proposal process
    • Minimum three (5) years' experience with direct management of complex solutions and development capture efforts for defense community and government clients
    • Ability to develop professional engagement materials, including whitepapers, presentations, and media
    • Understanding of and experience with DoW (DoD) Contracts
    • Ability to quickly demonstrate strong leadership throughout the capture process for internal and external stakeholders
    • US Citizen
    • Active US Secret Clearance or willingness and ability to obtain US Secret Clearance
    • Proven, quantifiable track record of defining and achieving bookings or sales targets

Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think out of the box and suggest powerful new ideas.
