Impact Property Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician. This position will oversee daily flooring activities and examine products, materials and overall workmanship for defects or deviations from approved project. The Quality Control Technician is required to support warehouse activities to support daily product installation. Also review project workmanship daily and document in specific detail all work activities. All work is required to be performed in a safe and professional manner.


Duties/Responsibilities of Quality Control Technician

  • Execute specific inspections on flooring construction and installation activities on site.
  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for flooring and other construction projects.
  • Design and implement methods for Quality Control and process improvements for testing and inspection.
  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methods, quality plans, documents, and reports.
  • Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction
  • Respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues
  • Communicates with installers to ensure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements to maintain high quality job standards
  • Work with account representatives in various departments to ensure that complete and proper information is provided for work assignments

Competencies of Quality Control Technician

  • Foundational flooring construction, installation, and product knowledge, especially in wood, carpet, vinyl and tile flooring.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present data, and influence decision making cycles credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to focus on details while managing multiple projects
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, drive, and determination
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Requirements:

Requirements of Quality Control Technician

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Flooring installation or related experience
  • Experience working with multifamily property management companies preferred

Physical Demands

  • The warehouse facility is not climate controlled and may experience extreme temperatures.
  • Requires up to 8 hours of standing/walking (with breaks).

  • Must be able to travel and be in a vehicle for extended periods of time
