Job description

UNM Press, the largest publisher in New Mexico, is seeking a professionalintern to join its editorial, design, and production team. The succesfulcandidate will help with various editorial and production tasks in a part-timecapacity. The intern will work with UNM Press's editorial, design, andproduction manager as well as with the press's editor and designers. Work willinclude helping to style and format manuscripts for transmittal, preparingpreliminary castoff and cost estimates for books, reviewing art programs,proofreading typeset proofs, preparing reprint materials, and assisting inuploading production-ready files. The intern will also take on additional tasksas they come up.

This is a fixed-term position, typically up to 24 months. This position isstructured as a 3/4 part-time role working 30 hours per week.
