Job description

Proofreader

By reviewing every customer-facing deliverable—print—the Proofreader is responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal guidelines. Additionally, this position is tasked with promoting and strictly adhering to brand guidelines and set style standards. Proofreading is the primary responsibility of this position. Additional responsibilities may be included as needed.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prioritizes projects, ensuring zero-error quality control.
  • Proofs labels in process for print, and printed labels for accuracy and release to the contract manufacturers for production use.
  • Proof Finished Product Specification Packets against change guiding documents and previous versions.
  • Adheres to all established SOPs
  • Minimum 2 days onsite per week are an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Proven experience in an editing and/or proofreading role a plus.
  • Extreme attention to detail – work must be accurate and received within set deadline.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal & written.
  • Flexibility to adapt to ever changing environment; flexible to work overtime for high-priority projects as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
