Position Overview

Mad River Community Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU/ER Registered Nurse for a high-acuity night shift assignment. The RN will provide critical care services in both ICU and emergency settings, managing unstable patients and supporting emergency interventions in a fast-paced rural hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to ICU and ER patients
  • Monitor and manage critically ill and emergency cases
  • Administer medications, drips, and emergency treatments
  • Perform rapid assessment and intervention for unstable patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document all care accurately in CPSI/Evident EMR
  • Maintain patient safety and follow hospital protocols
  • Work night shifts and participate in holiday coverage as needed
Patient Population
  • ICU and Emergency Room patients
  • High-acuity medical, cardiac, and trauma cases
  • Rural hospital critical care environment
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active California RN license (required)
  • Minimum 3 years ICU or ER experience required
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Strong critical care and emergency response skills
  • Experience in fast-paced or rural hospital settings preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Night shift availability (7 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Must be comfortable working ICU + ER crossover role
  • Proof of negative TB test within 12 months required
  • Ability to work holidays if needed
