The Loyalty and Promotional Specialist position is key to the success of our retailers. It is an exciting opportunity in a quickly expanding platform at Associated Food Stores. This position drives incentives, program development, and sales by creating data-driven campaigns for our loyalty program. The specialist will assist in the setup and implementation of rewards-based programs for one of the nation's most progressive grocery retailers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reporting on loyalty-focused offers.
  • Billing vendors and retailers for reward-based promotions.
  • Managing campaigns targeted at specific shoppers and employee programs.
  • Assisting in customer service calls and emails from guests shopping at our rewards locations.
  • Assisting in the setup, troubleshooting, and creative solutions to support the ongoing expansion of Associated Food Stores' loyalty program
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though we do cover weekends from time to time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • The ideal candidate is an extremely proactive, detail-oriented, and creative team player who thrives on ownership of multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing.
  • Computer literate and fluent with Microsoft Office (able to use Word and Excel to build spreadsheets and data tables).
  • The ability to work within tight timelines is essential, and strong written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Experience working with vendors.
  • Love of food, cooking, and healthy eating is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Marketing Specialist develops and executes marketing campaigns for our independent grocers to drive awareness and sales.
  • Assess ongoing campaign and media data to improve campaign efforts.
  • Maintain a retailer CRM/tracking tool.
  • Work with marketing team members to ensure that training and programs are planned and represented through retailer-facing training opportunities.
  • Reach out to non-participating retailers with help from the marketing team and retail counselors to educate and explore our solutions.
  • Assist with educating retailers about our services and onboarding them.
  • The Marketing Specialist will coordinate marketing materials and campaigns for recruiting and hiring-related promotions and events.
  • Perform other marketing-related projects as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or related communications field preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, and creative team player who thrives on ownership of multiple projects.
  • Possess a strong understanding and experience of paid and organic social media and digital marketing.
  • Understand and utilize HTML and CSS to create emails in MailChimp.
  • Experience or relevant training with Adobe Creative Cloud (video and photo editing apps/or equivalent), MS Office, MailChimp, and WordPress.
  • Ability to work within tight timelines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
