PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager within the construction sector. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of project management experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Management
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from inception through completion.
  • Coordinate and lead teams consisting of Modelers, Engineers, Technical Support staff, and other project resources.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast staffing needs and optimize resource allocation.
Client & Team Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes and action items.
  • Prepare professional correspondence, project updates, transmittals, requests for information (RFIs), and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records within company systems.
Scope & Schedule Management
  • Identify and manage project scope, preventing scope creep and ensuring proper change order documentation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate workload planning across multiple projects.
  • Track project milestones and ensure deadlines are achieved.
Technical Oversight
  • Review engineering deliverables and custom engineering packages for quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate submittal responses and drawing revisions with project teams.
  • Support point load development, seismic bracing systems, equipment support systems, and other non-structural construction solutions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
Material & Field Coordination
  • Track project materials, deliveries, and procurement activities.
  • Perform site visits, project inspections, and field coordination as needed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting construction and installation challenges.
Process Improvement
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Support ongoing training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain organized project files and document control procedures.
  • Accurately record daily project activities, time entries, and project notes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or specialty contracting environments.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
