Project Coordinator I (Program/Project Support)

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA (Remote, must be local)
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Temporary / Limited Service)
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator I to support a large-scale healthcare operations program. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across internal teams and stakeholders.

This is a remote position, however candidates must reside in or near Rancho Cordova, CA, as equipment pickup from the local office is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track project timelines and ensure all deliverables meet established deadlines
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility
  • Prepare project status reports, summaries, and executive readouts
  • Document meeting minutes, action items, and project updates
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to meet project objectives
  • Track and document lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all documentation meets organizational standards for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with contract and operational requirements
  • Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Project
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience supporting large-scale or government-related programs

Technical Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with Microsoft Project, including project scheduling, tracking, and reporting. This experience must be clearly detailed on the resume or candidate profile.

Work Environment

  • Primarily remote with requirement to pick up equipment onsite
  • Standard office environment when onsite
