About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Floor Tech Supervisor to lead a team of floor technicians in delivering high-quality floor care services. This position is responsible for overseeing floor care projects, including carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing, pressure washing, marble polishing, and other specialized floor maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a variety of floor care techniques and a proven track record of supervising and motivating a team.

What you’ll do

  • Project Supervision: Oversee floor care projects from start to finish, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support a team of 3 or more floor technicians, providing clear direction and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform and guide team members in specialized floor care procedures such as carpet cleaning, floor stripping and waxing, pressure cleaning, and marble polishing.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Coordinate project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and manage daily workflows to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations, including the proper use and maintenance of equipment and chemicals.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage supplies, equipment, and chemicals to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project details, including time logs, materials used, and equipment maintenance.

What we are looking for

  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred. The candidate will be driving a company vehicle.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience in floor detailing services, with expertise in stripping and waxing, pressure washing, marble polishing, and related techniques. Leadership experience will be considered without floor detailing experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in the floor care or janitorial industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of floor care equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, extractors, pressure washers, and polishers.
  • Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations and resolve issues quickly.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
