Job description

Hartman Windows & Doors is a highly-respected custom, wood window and door manufacturer, specializing in design and fabrication of custom wood windows and doors for high-end residential and commercial projects.

The Project Manager will take charge of projects from the initial proposal to the project’s completion. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing and installation process.

· Reads plans for potential projects.

· Does take offs from plans to use for estimating.

· Inputs information into a pricing tool and calculates numbers for proposals.

· Meets directly with clients and has site visits to verify measurements and familiarize themselves with site conditions.

· Provides all information to a project administrator to prepare proposals, contracts, and change orders.

· Helps the client make design decisions,

· Is attentive to detail and assures that all selected products work for the site.

· Maintains communication with clients/potential clients, throughout the entirety of the project.

· Works with draftsmen to create shop drawings of windows & doors.

· Reviews shop drawings for any mistakes, prior to being distributed for production.

· Orders special order hardware or other products.

· Maintains contact with the Plant Manager to plan manufacturing time.

· Ensures Plant manger has all design selections so manufacturing process is not delayed.

· Coordinates the installation with the installation team.

· Works with the service team to ensure all matters are addressed during final punch out.

· Must have specific experience with building and design.

· Must have established experience in the wood window and door or similar industry.

· Must be willing to relocate to West Palm Beach, FL.

· Strong construction background.

· Understanding of building codes.

· Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written as well as the presence and innate ability to represent the company in a wide variety of forums.

· Exceptional technical and managerial skills: including strong leadership, human relations skills, team-work orientation and flexibility in a high performance culture.

· Must have high energy level and a desire to be personally and professionally successful.

· Must have strong and solid presentation skills.

· 6:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Thursday. 6:30 – 2:00pm Friday.
