What does project manager IV mean?

A Project Manager IV is a senior-level project management role that typically involves overseeing large, complex projects, managing teams, and coordinating resources. Project Manager IV roles often have salaries that can reach or exceed $100,000 annually, especially with extensive experience, certifications like PMP, and working in high-cost-of-living areas. Salary varies based on industry, location, company size, and individual skills, but senior project managers are frequently compensated at or above this level.

Who earns more, PM or PMO?

Typically, Project Managers (PMs) earn more than Project Management Officers (PMOs) because PMs are responsible for individual projects and have decision-making authority, often receiving higher salaries. PMOs focus on overseeing project portfolios and establishing standards, usually earning slightly less but providing strategic support. Salary differences can vary based on industry, experience, and organization size.
