Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Project Management, Senior Manager to support a Federal Government client at our Washington, DC location. The Project Manager will coordinate with team members to deliver consistently high quality IT infrastructure project management and operations and maintenance services in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.

This position currently requires a remote schedule, but will need to be within commuting distance to the DC area. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.
Responsibilities
  • Perform program and project management duties including project planning, status reporting, and execution of projects
  • Ensure projects are properly documented, scheduled, and completed
  • Manage the operational aspects of the program and projects
  • Oversee the status of projects as assigned
  • Draft and execute project work plans and manage team schedules
  • Prepare status reports and adhere to project management best practices
  • O&M support included developing processes and procedures from optimal 24x7 support, and ensuring documentation of O&M best practices and SOPs.
  • Work closely with application development and operations security on their respective projects
  • Track and report projects regularly according to project schedules
  • Develop end user and help desk guidance to support every project, and prepare tailored messaging (for both agency-wide distribution and targeted user bases) to announce and support upcoming changes and maintenance windows.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience managing and supervising employees
  • Experience managing infrastructure engineering support center projects
  • Experience supporting national and international users, providing remote assistance and responding to incidents and requests
  • Ability to comply with industry accepted standards, FTS standards and user standards; e.g., HDI and PMI quality assurance concepts and guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with the highest levels of management; including oral presentation and Question and Answer sessions
  • Experience managing contracts with highly visible performance metrics

Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • PMP Certification
  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager
  • 7+ years of experience in a technical environment
  • Exposure to Agile development practices (e.g. SCRUM, XP, Lean Agile (LAMP), etc.)
  • Experience using Apptio Targetprocess for Lean Agile project tracking/reporting
  • Experience supporting on-premises, AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure/environment

For this position, the projected compensation range is $120,000 - $150,000 year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
