Job description

OverviewTactica Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Management Analyst to support a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics & Engineering (G-4) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust data systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, process automation, and database management, and will be adept at transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for leadership. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and code repositories to combine and analyze datasets from various enterprise sources, such as SAP.
  • Study, document, and replicate complex legacy processes involving tools like SAS, SQL, and VBA to ensure business continuity and identify opportunities for modernization.
  • Develop and manage systems to plan, track, and validate large-scale financial and logistical data across multiple functional areas and fiscal years.
  • Utilize tools like Alteryx and R to perform data reconciliation, implement data quality checks, and isolate data for manual review.
  • Engineer and manage databases using SQL and VBA to automate data collection, ensure data uniformity, and facilitate analysis and auditing.
  • Create insightful and dynamic Tableau or Power BI dashboards to support executive reviews and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather project requirements and ensure steady progress and clear communication.
RequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relative experience.
  • Proven experience in data cleaning and modeling using tools such as Alteryx, R, or Microsoft Power Query.
  • Subject Matter Expert in SQL and VBA programming for process automation and data management.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Experience managing and developing databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to present complex procedures and models to audiences of all skill levels.
  • Active U.S. government issued security clearance at the appropriate level for the duration of the contract Period of Performance. U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Army Vantage, MAVEN Smart Systems (MSS), or APAS.
  • Familiarity with military supply chain, logistics, or financial management systems (e.g., LMP, GCSS-Army).
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification.
