Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Junior Analytics Engineerย to support our Huntsville, AL (hybrid / remote) location.

PeopleTec is seeking a Junior Analytics Engineer to support the TAPO H47 ER Analytics effort. The candidate will support preparation, validation, transformation, visualization, and analysis of data used to deliver actionable analytical products. The role works with analysts, engineers, software developers, and operational SMEs to prepare datasets, conduct analysis, develop visualizations, validate data quality, and integrate analytical results into Rubix and related reporting capabilities.

Duties:

  • Collect, clean, transform, validate, and analyze structured data.
  • Develop SQL queries and analytical datasets supporting Rubix capabilities.
  • Use Python, R, SQL, Excel, and related tools for analysis and repeatable automation.
  • Develop visualizations, dashboards, reports, and analytical products.
  • Identify patterns, trends, anomalies, relationships, and performance indicators.
  • Perform data-quality checks and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support forecasting, segmentation, statistical analysis, and descriptive/predictive analytics.
  • Translate analytical results into concise findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work with SMEs/developers to translate analytical requirements into Rubix functionality.
  • Document sources, transformations, methods, assumptions, and results.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years of experience
  • Academic, project, internship, or professional data-analysis experience.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python and/or R.
  • Experience preparing/analyzing datasets and developing visualizations or dashboards.
  • Understanding of statistical and analytical methods.
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate analytical results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common Office products.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Travel: Less than 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire (or able to obtain), and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related analytical discipline. Entry-level candidates with relevant academic projects, internships, or early-career analytics experience are acceptable.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • None beyond normal requirements associated with office, remote, and occasional customer-site work.

Desired Skills:

  • Tableau or Power BI experience.
  • IBM SPSS or comparable statistical tools.
  • Forecasting, segmentation, performance metrics, or dashboard development.
  • Automated/repeatable data-analysis workflows.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and large-language-model technologies.
