The Division of Translational Health Sciences in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation Research (GEMINI) Center are recruiting a Project Coordinator. The position will be focused primarily on the activities of the Division of Translational Health Sciences that includes: support the administrative activities of the Division, coordinating and managing project-specific teams, developing scientific manuscripts and reports, and analyzing data. This role will focus on project management to support the ongoing conduct of the project's needs. Similarly, this role will support the analysis of data using either quantitative or qualitative skills. This position will also be expected to have experience in project management including timelines and workflow and communication management, write manuscripts, grants and engaging with the Department faculty in research activities. For the Division of Translational Health Sciences and GEMINI work, the researcher will analyze data, build academic dissemination products, meet weekly with Translational Health Sciences Division and the GEMINI Center members, support grant proposal development, and engage with research activities in the department. The position comes with the potential opportunity for travel globally and domestically for dissemination, and plenty of opportunities for career advancement.
Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and coordinate systems designed to monitor the planning for, and collection, storing, cleaning and dissemination of data related to specific projects as required to assist programs and/or projects director.
Maintain liaison with project participants, including researchers, project personnel, participating subjects as well as other interested parties to establish a communication system to coordinate the various aspects of the project; respond to inquiries about the project according to established policies and procedures.
Maintain liaison with faculty members, practicing professionals and representatives of related projects to coordinate the collection and dissemination of related data.
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions as requested.
Review and evaluate data monitoring and handling systems to determine consistency of data collected from various sources; recommend changes and modification to systems as required to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency.
Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, promotions, performance appraisals, transfers, and scheduling time off.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Preferred skills
Demonstrated skills with quantitative data analysis using R and/or Python

Demonstrated skill in project management and coordination
