Who are you?

You are an experienced Project Manager (3–5+ years) or Senior Project Manager (7+ years) with a strong background delivering institutional construction projects, ideally within post-secondary (university/college) environments. You thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder settings and bring strong leadership, organization, and client-facing skills.

You are detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in managing projects from feasibility through to closeout, with a proven ability to balance budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.

This role is based in Guelph, ON, with a strong on-site presence required. We welcome applications from candidates located in or near the Guelph area, as well as those willing to commute or relocate.

Job Description

As a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, you will be involved in:

  • Leading projects through the full lifecycle: feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate and collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Lead project meetings, manage action items, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Oversee procurement, contracts, and consultant/contractor performance
  • Manage construction activities including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and payment approvals
  • Monitor and control change orders, risks, and issues, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, data-driven updates and recommendations
  • Lead project closeout, including commissioning, turnover documentation, and lessons learned
Qualifications
  • Project Manager: 3–5+ years of experience in construction project management
  • Senior Project Manager: 7+ years of experience managing increasingly complex projects
  • Proven experience delivering institutional (university/college), commercial, or large-scale capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience in client-side project management environments
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • PMP designation (or working toward) is considered an asset
  • Primarily based on-site In Guelph, ON

The base salary range for the full-time Project Manager role is $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year and for the full-time Senior Project Manager role is $105,000 - $135,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
