We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to grow our presence in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario market.

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for promoting and selling REHAU’s full catalog of mechanical and plumbing products—including plumbing, residential fire protection, radiant heating, snow/ice melt, pre-insulated piping, and geoexchange systems.

The BDM plays a key role in expanding market share, building strong relationships, and driving revenue growth through direct sales, distributor partnerships, and specifications with engineers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales in the assigned territory (Greater Toronto Area and Ontario region).
  • Promote REHAU’s complete range of products to engineers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers’ representatives.
  • Research and assess market potential; develop and execute territory sales plans.
  • Identify and pursue commercial and residential project opportunities to generate new business.
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong customer and partner relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product training sessions for industry partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Sales Management, Marketing, and Technical Services—to support customer needs and regional goals.
  • Track opportunities, projects, and customer interactions in Salesforce.com.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and profitability targets established by the Sales Incentive Plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; relevant trade or technical experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience within the plumbing, hydronics, or construction industry.
  • Demonstrated success in opening new accounts and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel up to 50–60% within the region.
